Focus on: Understanding Lincolnshire's Population - What is it?
Approximately 100 people attended the Lincolnshire Research Observatory’s (LRO) ‘Focus On: Understanding Lincolnshire’s Population’ event at Horncastle College.
The free event took place on the 9th December and considered Lincolnshire’s population, past, present and future. Topics covered such things as the changing demographic of the county population, how to apply population projections at the local level, and the wealth of information the LRO has on population characteristics.
Presentations from the day can be viewed on the new LRO Population Theme Page along with the various population data, intelligence reports and toolkits that are held on the Lincolnshire Research Observatory website.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who attended or expressed an interest in the event and for all the contributions made. Feedback forms were completed by delegates and we will be reviewing these in order to improve future events and inform future LRO outputs.
This was the second in a series of free ‘Focus On:’ events that are planned for 2011/12. The third event is due to take place during March 2012 and will look at a number of issues specific to the county economy. Keep a look out for promotional emails and material on the LRO website concerning this next event.
In the meantime, we look forward to hearing from you and hopefully seeing you at the next event.
